FFS, I hope Coots is ok. They really can't afford to be losing their top center. If not, I have to think they move Giroux to center, there is simply no one else on the pro roster that is capable of stepping up and playing top 6 quality center at the NHL level.

People. Whenever I can't post, instead of writing "post", I'll post this

Mobile streaming: r/NHLStreams. Bots make threads for every NHL game like 2 hours prior or something. Users post streams on the threads. You'll be forced to click around to find the best stream and might have to deal with annoying popups.

PC streaming: r/NHL_Games. Download the program: any NHL game in high def, including on demand "replayability" if the game is over and you want to watch it/rewatch it. No blackouts. If you must download a media player like VLC, download that too, but I don't think you'll have to at this point in the program's development. You will download it as a zip to your downloads file. Right click the zip folder, unzip the file, and move it to a destination on your computer. You'll be able to browse and choose where you'd like to store it. I recommend making a folder in your OS file and as new versions come out you can just store them there. It's up to you. To run the program, double click the .exe file. Once it's running, would recommend right clicking the icon that pops up on your task bar to show you it's running, and pin it to your task bar for ease of access.

PC streaming on iOS: I believe there is a program for this too. It's called lazyman. You can find that on NHL _Games too, I think, but I'm not sure. Don't have a Mac.

Coots' knee worried me at first and still does.

Correct me if I'm wrong: it was not surgically repaired right?

Funny, I was just trying to figure that out. From what I found, he had MCL tear last year and didn’t need surgery. He reinjured the same knee, but in a different place (?) over the summer.

Would be a big loss. The goaltending is going to be a challenge but having him go down is damn tough.

At the end of it though, if there is any doubt to his health I want him to sit. He already showed last playoffs that he is going to play at less than a 100% if given (questionable?) clearance. The Flyers will need Couturier more so in the coming years than this one as they move toward being a top tier club.

Can't argue with it. I've beat the "they're not going anywhere this year with these goalies" loudly. That's why Hart should play in the A.

But yeah, for some reason I feel like he didn't surgically repair his knee, just rested it. Implying it could continue to be a problem, which should make us all uncomfortable.

What happens to all those pitchers who have "minor strains" of the their UCL and miss 3 starts? They're going under Dr. James Andrews' knife within the next 6 months.

Giroux, although listed as a winger now, still takes a ton of draws and skates certain shifts at Center anyways. Hopefully coots injured knee doesn’t become an on going problem. With a Healthy Coots, the top nine look really good.

My understanding is that MCL sprains/tears don’t require surgery and heal on their own. The fact that Hextal insisted that it was fully healed before he injure it over the summer makes me feel that it didn’t fully heal and he reinjured it

Any time you hurt a knee it can be tricky....it obviously was still a bit wonky when he reinsured it. If a knee is hurt, it can be a bit unstable even if the knee actually feels pretty good...I also thought they said he was going to put a brace on...if you hurt a knee with a brace on, that knee is not as healthy as they let on.

That there wasn't an immediate update on the Couturier injury does not bode well IMO

Can't wait for Team Negative to overreact to losing Martel.

Hextall did insist that it wasn't a re-injury in the rec game in August, and I believe him. That doesn't negate the fact that he's significantly hurt the same knee in May, August, and has a setback now in September, which is worrisome.

The injuries might not be "related" but that knee clearly is banged up and most likely unstable which is concerning

Martel seems to be the kind of player Tampa goes for. Not terribly surprising they took a shot here.

I thought he should have got a chance here at some point last year to at least see what he could bring at the NHL level. Not losing sleep over it but it would've been nice to get mid round pick for him.

Sort of starting to get worried about Coots and injuries.
If his name was Neuvy and he had the same number of injuries people would be calling him glass.
